AVIM/AVUM Shop Sets Plus

The Aviation Ground Support Equipment (AGSE) Product Office manages the Aviation Intermediate Maintenance (AVIM), Aviation Unit Maintenance (AVUM) and associated components for the U.S. Army.

JVYS contract provides all program management, technical management and day to day execution of the AVIM Shop Set Plus and AVUM Shop Set Programs as the Prime Contractor for the Prototype Integration Facility (PIF). JVYS has partnered with Brown International Corporation (BIC) for Shop Set Plus redesign/modification, paint/rain test and integration. The combined PIF, JVYS and BIC Team provide an outstanding and experienced team with the necessary skills and expertise to deliver a quality product.

The AVIM Shop Set is a specialty shop used for performing intermediate and limited depot-level maintenance. Each shop set contains a 20-foot, one-sided expandable, International Standardization Organization (ISO) shelter and associated components. Currently the AVIM Shop Set Complex consists of nine shelters: Engine, Machine/Weld, Pneudraulic, Power Train, Production/Quality Control, Non-Destructive Inspection, Composite, Sheet Metal and Tool Crib. In the near future the Armament/Electric shop will be incorporated into the complex, bringing the total for a complex to ten individual shops. The AVIM Shop Set Plus program is a modification, repair, and integration effort that will renovate existing Shop Set Plus program shelters to a like new condition as well as updating the Technical Data Package and rewriting the applicable technical manuals.

The AVUM Shop Sets currently consist of three individual S280 shelters that are currently being retrofitted, repaired, modified and integrated with the necessary components to support the needs of our soldiers.
